Centrally located in Longyearbyen, Basecamp Hotel is a traditional trapper's lodge-style property just 15 minutes’ drive from Longyearbyen Airport. The airport bus stops right outside. If you are going to stay in Longyearbyen this is the only hotel to stay in. Great atmosphere and so comfortable. Excellent breakfast and good service from the hotel. I first stayed here 17 years ago and I am still visiting.

Radisson Blu Polar Hotel is the northernmost full-service hotel in the world, located in Longyearbyen. The location and the hospitality of the staff. it was immensely clean and there are no adjectives that I can use to describe the place. A definite yes for the same place the next time we visit Svalbard

The staff was very friendly and they made sure that there is always enough vegan milk and yoghurt for breakfast. The NUGA restaurant also has very delicious food. A fantastic place to stay. Great kitchen/ common room area and spacious rooms. Sharing a bathroom with another room was not a problem. Elena was very friendly and helpful and her regular afternoon cakes were delicious. Very relaxed atmosphere.
