Centrally located in Longyearbyen, Basecamp Hotel is a traditional trapper's lodge-style property just 15 minutes’ drive from Longyearbyen Airport. The airport bus stops right outside. If you are going to stay in Longyearbyen this is the only hotel to stay in. Great atmosphere and so comfortable. Excellent breakfast and good service from the hotel. I first stayed here 17 years ago and I am still visiting.

The staff was very friendly and they made sure that there is always enough vegan milk and yoghurt for breakfast. The NUGA restaurant also has very delicious food. We enjoyed our time at The Vault very much.

A great hotel in an incredible location. It's modern and comfortable. You have access to a sauna, a cocktail bar, and a small library to relax after a day of Arctic adventures. Situated in Longyearbyen, within 1.3 km of Svalbard Church, Haugen Pensjonat Svalbard offers accommodation with free WiFi. Built in 1985, the property is within 2.1 km of Svalbard Museum. Everything! Elena and her team make a wonderful job in keeping the place super clean, helping travelers out with their many questions and building a lovely environment. Rooms are warm and spacious and with great views on the mountains. The kitchen deserves an extra praise: it has everything you need for cooking, it is always clean and organized and you can meet fellow travelers and share some stories of polar bears and northern lights. I feel I was very lucky to spend my days in this guesthouse. (I should also mention that "shared bathroom" means you share it with only one more room. Also the bathrooms are all located at the end of the corridor after the stairs, which means it's very silent in the rooms)
