This hotel is in Øystese Village, on the shore of the Hardangerfjord. It offers a restaurant and for additional cost pool and sauna access. All rooms have a flat-screen TV and some feature a balcony. The view from the hotel was spectacular. It was a quick and easy drive to Nordheimsund, which is where many tours take off. Like many other hotels in Norway, there is a wide and excellent selection for breakfast. Something for everyone. We had to leave earlier on our final morning before the start of breakfast but they had everything set out for us to self-serve. The restaurant was delicious but a bit pricey. This is typical of Norway, however. The pool at the connecting sports facility was convenient and fun.

Brakanes Hotel is located on the shores of the Hardanger Fjord in Ulvik. The hotel restaurant features a buffet and a la carte menu of local dishes. Free WiFi is included. The location and the view were exceptional!! The restaurant was very good and the staff were very helpful. It was a beautiful place to stay. I had a room with a balcony overlooking the fjord. It has big verandas with seating for socializing before and after dinner particularly.

Eidfjord Hotel has a garden, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Eidfjord. Free private parking is available and the hotel also has bike rental for guests who want to explore the surrounding area. Staff were very helpful. They fixed the loud, squeaky bathroom door handle within a few hours of us reporting it. They loaned us an iron and ironing board. The location was excellent. It was quiet but fairly close to the main tourist area. There were good views in almost every direction. There was free parking and good WiFi. There were lots of shelves (though not in the bathroom). The shower was excellent (good pressure, steady temperature, good enclosure). The bed was softer-than-average, which I liked. The pillow was good (not too thick). The breakfast was good except for the juice which was watery. The on-site restaurant is very good and is open for dinner until 9 p.m., but it has only a small menu. (It is closed on Tuesday evenings.) There are other restaurants nearby, as well as a food truck that sells Thai food. The lounge area is roomy. There are no TV's which I liked (i.e. no loud TV sounds coming from other rooms). Though we heard some noise from the hallway, we never heard sounds from the two adjoining rooms. One can't accidentally lock oneself out of one's room because you have to use your key to lock the door.

Vik Pensjonat features a garden, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Eidfjord. The hotel also provides free WiFi and free private parking. Certain rooms will provide you with a kitchen with a fridge. The view, the quirkiness, the fact our kids could slide on the site was a highlight! We used our drone from a higher point, 15 min walk from the cottage to film the kids and the view was absolutely amazing! The fjord was stunning! We found food at the local supermarket only a few minutes away by foot. The service station makes nice coffee which I grabbed early morning and off i went for a walk, full snow and freezing temp but it was a delight!

Located 2.5 mi from Røldal Village, overlooking Lake Røldalsvatnet, Hordatun Hotel offers international cuisine and an on-site bar. Very good breakfast. A lot of space in the room, very good facilities. Parking lot nearby. Great view from the windows. Very nice and welcoming staff

Located in a late 19th century Art Noveau-style building overlooking the Måbø Valley, Fossli Hotel offers free Wi-Fi and rooms with private bathrooms. Vøringsfossen Waterfall is next to the hotel. Stay at the Fossli felt like being "inside a novel". Needless to say, the view is fantastic (and you get the Voringsfossen waterfalls all for yourself in the evening, after the tourist buses stop flowing by), the staff is super kind, and the dinner was a very good surprise too! Maybe we were lucky but our room was also pretty large and very comfy.
