Set in tranquil surroundings with large landscaped grounds and a picturesque garden terrace with mountain views, Tongariro Crossing Lodge offers uniquely spacious rooms with historic character. The room was clean, the beds were confortable. The kitchen had all that was needed to cook a nice meal. Service provided by hosts was excellent and the extra we paid for the breakfast was well worth it.

A great spread in the living room with other guests. Marie and Bernie went out of their way to accomodate us, helping us out when we couldn’t get dinner in the town over Easter weekend.

Plateau Lodge is located 15 minutes’ drive from UNESCO World Heritage listed Tongariro National Park, where guests can enjoy skiing, hiking, cycling and paddling activities. The location is right next to the shuttle stop, and employees are all very kind and willing to advise suggestion to those needed for trip

Set in the heart of National Park, Pipers Lodge boasts an onsite bar and restaurant. Guests can socialise in the shared lounge and warm up by the fireplace. The staff were really friendly and the log fire was cosy

Alpine Chalets has mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking, set in National Park. Perfect location within the National Park, best view of the volcanos (weather dependent) and a very, very kind host.

Owner knows so much about the region and the location if perfect for all outings in and around tongariro area.

Perfect location. Clean and tidy rooms. Nice and warm. The heater was already on for our arrival. Everything you need for a nice stay. Staff were so helpful and welcoming. Couldn't of asked for anything more!! The spa pools were fantastic!!
