The view was great. Thoroughly enjoyed the birdlife visiting the beautiful gardens. Very pleasant and helpful hosts. Very clean room with some added touches to make the stay memorable. Loved all of the efforts the hosts are making to be considerate of the environment. Ample breakfast (fresh wild blackberries were amazing!) The garden gate opens onto the Conical Hill track - a lovely 30 min walk through forest on a wide, well maintained track.

Carla and Glen were the most wonderful and welcoming hosts. They opened their house to us, making sure we had everything we could possibly need and offering more.... Exceptional place to stay, far superior to many other B&B places. Beautiful room. Ensuite bathroom. Kitchen facilities, dining area, lounge area, TV, reading space, garden, dog friendly, easy access to the beach, breakfast included, tea and coffee facilities, plus more I have not mentioned, I'm sure. Just loved our 2 nights here, wished we had longer... would recommend to everyone. Thank you Carla and Glen for your wonderful hospitality.

Spacious, clean & comfortable house. Large well stocked kitchen that made it easy to prepare meals. The view was of both mountains & water. Location is great. Easy to walk both to Kaikoura & South Bay & other tracks. Our host was very responsive & kind. Should we ever find ourselves in Kaikoura again, we would definitely stay here again.
