The position of the hotel meant that the view was gorgeous. It was very chilled there and we met lots of very happy guests. You can hire a sauna spot on the fjordside and jump in after! Very cheery, friendly and helpful staff and they gave us linked rooms so we could all be together which was great. Breakfast was very good and looking out over the fjord a wonderful experience... !!

You looking for a place with tons of atmosphere and charm, look no further - this is it!
In a quaint village in Hardanger, lies this hotel with a long history of taking care of travelers and we were in luck to stumble upon the place in May - and we were truly positively surprised and would love to come back!
Ulvik is a jewel that we really discovered by chance.
Ulvik is a jewel that we really discovered by chance. Two nights was simply not enough. We met the most amazing and friendly people. The staff in the tourist information shop were so good. They were locals and knew the social and cultural history. An amazing stay.

Fantastic location with a Fjord view from the room location. On arrival the staff were very friendly and helpful with a young gentleman giving a guided tour of the hotel and the facilities. The views from the hotel are spectacular and provide an elevated view across the Fjord. Walking distance to the Ulvik pier and centre area and a short walk to the local store.
The views! From our room and from really everywhere we looked. The staff was super professional and friendly and very helpful. We had the opportunity to sit in the private hot tub by the fjord when it was cold and raining and it was fantastic. The breakfast spread was great and the checkout time of noon gave us plenty of time to enjoy our morning. We loved it.
The staff were really nice and polite; the facility was old but the internet was fast. The view from the room was fantastic however there was no AC in the room which is common in Norway. I rented bicycles and Kayaks from a store which was five minute walk away from the hotel. Overall a small town with friendly people and amazing views.
Was surprised there was a hot tub and an inflatable trampoline in the fjord, and kayaking right from the hotel. We would've stayed an extra day if we'd known. Even now, we're thinking to return from the US next year and spend more time. The view was gorgeous from our fjord-facing room with balcony.
The location and the view were exceptional!! The restaurant was very good and the staff were very helpful. It was a beautiful place to stay. I had a room with a balcony overlooking the fjord. It has big verandas with seating for socializing before and after dinner particularly.
the included breakfast was a pleasant surprise, nothing very fancy but the basics and enough to satisfy; the location and view were wonderful; beds were comfortable; old elevator was cool, especially for our kids; nice family who operated the hotel
We were lucky and we slept in newly renovated room with amazing view. We enjoyed breakfast that exceeded our expectations. In hotel there is a game room we enjoyed as well. Last but not least, staff is absolutely helpful and friendly. :-)
Nice hotel with comfy beds and beautiful landscape, size of family room and bath good. Staff very friendly. Facilities with good options close to sentrum and perfect breaksfast with good taste. All was great.
The location is absolutely gorgeous, the rooms were nice and simple.
Breakfast was good, not too much variance, but considering it's a small hotel - it's as expected.
Incredible views of the fjord from the room, very attentive staff, nice breakfast, private reservable hot tub available for additional price, pool and gym
Excellent hotel, very cozy and charming. The rooms open directly to the fjord, and there's even a small beach outside the hotel.
We felt at home there.
