Very helpful receptionist. The kitchen was already closed when we arrived, but she offered to serve pizza and drinks.
Enough parking spots. The pier is within walking distance, and there is a supermarket right across the street.

Owner went out of his way to help us and ensure that we didn’t miss out on anything. The hotel is ideally located and the town itself is picturesque and quiet.
This family-run hotel is in Balestrand, by the Sogne Fjord. It has a large garden, a private sauna and beach, and panoramic fjord views. Each guest room includes a private bathroom.

If you are looking for a 5-star hotel with all facilities, please do not book here. However, if you simply want a good place to sleep, a bar with excellent vibes and welcoming staff, this is the place to be!
Sandra is an excellent host who is very welcoming and helpful to all guests. Although it was mentioned that there was no breakfast provided, she suprised us with complimentary croissants and coffee. Combine that with a wonderful view of the fjord and good weather and you have an experience that many 5* hotels can only dream of.
Nice bar with local ciders, pool table and musical atmosphere.
