There where around 10 mosquitoes in the room, my child had 5 bites on the face when we woke up. Rooms where outdated and a bit dirty. Staff was however friendly.
Located on a small peninsula in the peaceful seaside resort of Sukosan, Hotel Belvedere is 10 km south of the main bus and railway station in central Zadar.

This lovely, family-run hotel/restaurant is in the perfect location right on the water with a marvelous view and a truly exceptional kitchen (the chef is the owner). Everyone is very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it!

Home owner was the most lovely host we ever met. All was perfectly organised and exceeded all expectations.
Apartments Draga is located in a quiet area of Sukošan, surrounded by restaurants and galleries. The promenade stretching along the coast can be reached in just a couple of steps.
Quiet resort, there is a large marina opposite the property.

Sukosan is absolutely beautiful..
Sukosan is absolutely beautiful..We found that the locals were super friendly, kind and helpful.
We struggled to find the apartment because we had no nternet or satnav
but people we asked for help went out of their way to help us, even contacting the owner. We were approx 2km away but they said that they couldn't help us. Thank God for the locals.
The harbours are truly stunning, the sea was crystal clear. There are supermarkets and beautiful restaurants. I would highly recommend ,Sukosan for a holiday or even an overnight at its 10 mins from the airport and 15 mins into Zadar itself which is a beautiful place..

We were there at the end of the season so quite quiet but enough for 2 days .We didn't have time to explore the beaches or Zadar but it has the feeling of a safe welcoming fishing village that is having some money injected into it. There was a new promenade and planting so am guessing it will only get more popular. There were a couple of touristy bars and a couple of exceptional restaurants and bakeries. So well located for the airport to squeeze the last hours out of your holiday.

Sukošan is an excellent starting point for Croatia...
Sukošan is an excellent starting point for Croatia sightseeing. It's not only well connected to Zadar (for those who avoid using cars in foreign countries) but also has a pretty good connection with main roads.
City/town itself is rather small but it's quite easy to find good restaurants, bars and pubs. Some of them however appear to be opening past 4, 5 or even 6 pm, so it's good to keep that in mind if you are interested in particular cousine.
Plenty of little and big markets are always well stocked - none of them uses self-service checkouts though and not all cashiers understand english.

good access by car, great access by plane, Sukosan is 10 minutes TAXI drive from the airport, nice little city, approximity to big city Zadar is very good, around 15 mins drive. Plenty of restaurant options in Sukosan, great Marina (D-marin), which is also available to access by general public, beach in Marina is also very nice. JOSO restaurant on the main road probably the best choice in Sukosan.

I have been travelling to Sukosan since 1974 - YES - 48 years.
Although it has inevitably lost some of its old rustic charm, it has developed into a fine coastal resort.
There are many opportunities for boat excursions, (particularly to the beautiful Kornati Islands), & easy bus transport for days out to Zadar, Beograd na moru, Sibenik (& Krka Falls) etc.
The apartment is very spacious and well equipped and decorated to a high quality. There is plenty of room to store clothing and the kitchen is well equipped, aside from not having a dishwasher. The wii is really useful for kids for an evening in and the multiple balconies are great for sitting out on. The apartment is in walking distance of beaches and shops, although in extreme heat this can be hard work. Sukosan is a lovely area with beautiful pebble beaches and the marina area for boats and a nice beach bar.
The hotel is near the sea, only a few steps from the terrace to the sea. The room was spacious and clean, with a beautiful view of the sea from the balcony. They provide sun beds for free. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful.
Breakfast was ok and food at the restaurant was good.
They have a parking lot in front of the hotel.
There were mosquites, but there was a anti-mosquito device in the room.
There is no elevator, but they helped carry the luggage when we arrived.
If you're looking for a relaxing seaside retreat with top-notch service, look no further than this family-owned gem. Nestled in a perfect location for relaxation, with stunning view of the sea, this hotel offers impeccable cleanliness, cozy rooms and great breakfast. Beyond the tranquil atmosphere, there's an abundance of nearby attractions to explore. A delightful blend of comfort and convenience for a great holiday. I recommend exploring it off-season as well.
Stayed here on our last night in Croatia as it was convenient for the airport. Staff very pleasant. Great location - lovely view but don't be lulled to the beach opposite - go a bit further to the marina to the right.. It's a lovely spot (though you have to pay for sunbeds if you want one). Great for Aperol Spritz too.
Back to the hotel- we had lunch here and it was delicious and reasonably priced. Room was great and comfortable.
Would love to come back again.
The location was a few minutes farther walk than other properties, but it was totally worth it for the wonderful pool and patio area - our kids like the beach but they loved the pool, trampoline, swing, etc. The owners were so very kind, the apartment was comfortable and the small village of Sukosan makes for an easy relaxing holiday with kids. Hard to beat the beautiful Adriatic Sea and this was a perfect home base!
Had absolutely everything you would need. Fantastic location for Split, Zadar attractions and only 5 mins walk to beach. Sukosan was an easy walk for shops, bars and restaurant (Photo shows waterfront in main area). Stumbled across Piazetta restaurant in the square at sukosan - gorgeous food and service and worth queueing for a seat - get there early as it is popular.
Accommodation was very comfortable, spacious and super quiet. You could enjoy evenings laying on the beach and listen to waves. Marko as a host is friendly, proactive and can give you a lot of good tips. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for vacation in Croatia that doesn't provide overcrowded beaches or noisy places.
Simply great! We have seen various apartments in Croatia but this one surprised us positively. Lovely host. High quality materials in apartment. Good bed and bed linnen, very nice pool area with open kitchen. Free to use bikes nice to explore the area. Restaurant tip: Kod Gusto.
Definitely recommended!
Excellent breakfast, wonderful and friendly service, great restaurant. They even cooked lunch for us on request outside of their regular hours. Loved that the hotel provided sun beds and umbrellas for the beach. The chef, who is also the owner, is wonderful. We ended up having dinner there as well.
Even if it was a small room it was very comfy. We liked the bathroom very much, it was clean and shiny like it had been just renovated. We appreciated the tiny fridge in the corner and the silent air-conditioner. Ana was extremely kind, cheerful and helpful. Thanks for making our stay pleasant!
Outstanding in every way... staff (lovely friendly helpful family), location (the sea is at the end of the garden), facilities (bar, restaurant, terrace), cleanliness (almost like we were the first guests to stay there). Look no further if you want to stay in Sukošan.
Modern apartment. Large enough for 2 people + dog. Comfortable beds. Nice terrace with sea view.
50m walk from their restaurant for a very good breakfast. Also to recommend to have dinner there.
Close to Zadar, beaches and the town of Sukosan.
This is a great place to stay if you board the boat next day, because it is located opposite of the entrance of the Sukošan Marina. The owner is very nice and helpful and the staff is kind and polite. We would stay there again.
