You drive thru an area adjacent to docks, lots of unfinished buildings narrow roads ... The hotel has secured gate entry parking, 10 Euro, but in this city you won't need the car. Leave it in the compound. The hotel is spotless, room really large and fresh. No Aircon, just a fan and window, so maybe in spring or summer might be an issue, but in January or February no problem. Bed is incredibly comfortable, big and top quality mattress and bedding. Access from the hotel to downtown and everything you will want to see in Bordeaux, walk 3 mins to the tram line, get the B and 25 mins later you are in Bordeaux centre. TV has BBC1 if that helps. By the way the hotel is literally next to the huge modern wine museum, a spectacle on the cityscape. You could skip 11 Euro breakfast, eat at a cafe etc, but if you prefer no hassle in the morning breakfast is ok. Bordeaux is a very clean safe city, public transport to get around is a sinch and very efficient. Enjoy ...
