Villa Fontaine Grand Haneda Airport, hotel in Tokyo

Set in Tokyo and connected to Haneda Airport International Passenger Terminal, Villa Fontaine Grand Haneda Airport offers accommodation with a bar and private parking.

A luxurious feel hotel based right in the airport. That simple really, a nice place to stop for 1 last night before heading back. Free spa facilities too, but not that obvious when you book so do some digging / research on it if that interests you.

APA Hotel & Resort Ryogoku Eki Tower, hotel in Tokyo

Located in Tokyo, 200 metres from NTT Docomo History Square, APA Hotel & Resort Ryogoku Eki Tower provides accommodation with a fitness centre, private parking, a garden and a restaurant.

The facilities were perfect, free public bath and swimming pool as well as a mini market inside the hotel, and the location was excellent within 5 minutes walk to trains and busses, there was also pleasant eatery street next to the station. Making up rooms was optional but composers every third day of the stay. The room was a bit tight but we beed it only to sleep, I would recommend this hotel.

FAQs about hotels in Tokyo

See It to Believe It!

The capital of Japan, Tokyo is a vast, teeming metropolis nestled between mountains and Tokyo Bay. It’s so huge that you’ll have to come to grips with public transport and maybe even experience being pushed onto a train. Yes, it does actually happen!

Get your bearings by ascending the Tokyo World Trade Centre near the waterfront, and savour the fantastic views taking in the red-and-white Tokyo Tower and Shinkuju’s skyscrapers. North is Ueno, home to the best museums (including the Tokyo National Museum) and a large park bursting with cherry blossom in spring.

Equally tranquil are the Chiyoda Imperial Palace and Gardens, surrounded by water. Also in gardens is the Meiji Jingu Shinto shrine in Shibuya, a youthful district where neon abounds.

For more traditional Japanese culture, head to Asakusa whose Sensō-ji Buddhist temple is Tokyo’s oldest temple. Markets in the grounds sell a variety of wares, though shopping in Tokyo is, of course, fantastic wherever you go.

Whether you stay in a Japanese ryokan, luxury Tokyo hotel or a hostel, don’t fly out of Tokyo Narita Airport or Haneda Airport without having tried sushi. Another Japanese institution is the sento (public bath) and onsen (hot springs bath) – a must try. Also incredibly popular are Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea, Asia’s 2 most visited theme parks.

A unique experience of a man-made super city. From high-rise mega-districts, to ancient parks and shrines, Tokyo has lots to see, do, explore, and taste. For the casual traveller, it's a unique place to visit. For those interested in Japan, don't delay, finally go like you've always planned, it is breath-taking. I have done 8 days total now in Tokyo, and feel like I have just scratched the surface.

I thought it would be a big, noisy, busy city so only...

I thought it would be a big, noisy, busy city so only allowed 3 nights. So sorry I didn't have more time. If I'd known I would have cut Osaka short (it was like the Gold Coast on steroids) and spent more time in Tokyo and Kyoto. It was remarkably quiet for a city that size - people don't talk loudly, elevators have a muted ding, even ambulances seem to be quieter. I never once heard a phone ring when travelling on the trains/subway. The streets are all super clean (you have to take a little bag with you for any rubbish - there are no public rubbish bins available anywhere). All signs are in english and the politeness of japanese people made getting around quite easy - not too many people offered to help but if asked, and they could understand english, they were quite happy to provide some guidance. I felt completely safe walking and taking the subways and trains in Japan, and after a few goes was very comfortable purchasing tickets and making train transfers. There are a lot of steps to navigate when using trains/subways (you can usually find escalator or lift). People watching in Harajuku is a must. And a visit to the big department stores food hall is amazing. The streets of Tokyo are lined with beautiful green trees - so pleasant to just walk around. The Tea House at the Tokyo National Museum was a great experience and just wondering the grounds was so peaceful and relaxing. Wish I had more time to just wander aimlessly in different areas of Tokyo and take it all in.

Location is great and safe. 3 metro stations nearby make it easy to reach everywhere in reasonable time. E.g. Ginza, Tokyo station and Tsujiki are around 15 mins, Ueno and Asakusa are within 20 mins and Shinjuku & Shibuya is around 30 mins. Convenient stores, restaurants and drug stores are in walking distance. The hotel provides amenities and facilities we may need when traveling, which is super sweet. Services are great, the front desk is very helpful with the guest's requirements. Room is not spacious but equipped with everything.

Second mimaru property we stayed at in Tokyo. We really liked the last one (Ueno east) but liked this even more. The room was more spacious, very spacious by Tokyo standards. Same comfy beds and helpful friendly staff. The location was good - very close to station on the Oedo line which runs across to the east side for Asakusa and Ueno, as well as being close to the west side neighbourhoods. The immediate neighbourhood was office towers and tall hotels, but plenty of services and close to livelier parts of Shinjuku as well.

The location is right in the middle of Shibuya and right next to Meiji-dori which makes walks to Harajuku much more accessible. My room had spectacular views and could see Shinjuku, skytree tower and even tokyo tower from another window. I also loved all of the dining options near the hotel. If you're feeling american - eggslut on the 2nd floor. if you're feeling japanese, then there are many options on the third floor of the mall that's connected to the hotel. Location wise, you can't beat Sequence.

Our planned hotel canceled our reservation the night before our arrival date, so the Hotel Rose Garden was a last minute booking. We had two choices for Shinjuku hotels on such short notice, and we thought the novelty of bunk beds for my husband and I would be fun. The location of the hotel is probably the best part of it, as it's only one metro stop away from the main Shinjuku area, but it feels like a world away with how quiet the actual area is. The staff was also very helpful.

Rooms were large for Tokyo hotels and had a bathtub (we stayed in the South Wing), and housekeeping was good. It has two lines next to it including the less crowded Tochomae station on the Oedo line. Better than Shinjuku. There’s a decent Komeda’s cafe opposite the back entrance where we ate at twice and more eateries are about 5 minutes’ walk away. We liked that the limo bus stopped right at the hotel and that tour agencies picked up guests at the hotel too.

We chose to have single rooms which after a long flight meant better sleeping for all of our family members. The single rooms are small, but reasonable, the bed is hard - which I don't like, but my husband does - but a good size. The staff were very helpful, especially considering our lack of Japanese. Close to the Tokyo Station. Very clean. I'd describe this hotel as a business hotel, one where businesspeople stay over night when in Tokyo for work.

The hotel staff was so helpful. I had to check in on my own without my husband and had a few luggages and a toddler with me. The staff proactively offered me help with the luggages and accompanied me to my hotel room. The room was modern and clean and surprisingly quiet given that it's so close to the airport! Plenty of food and shop options around the hotel as well, which made it convenient to get last minute souvenirs etc.

Very convenient for the haneda airport limousine. Not very convenient for travel into many of the parts of Tokyo, but I enjoyed Odaiba, Harajuku & Shibuya with travel times of around an hour. The location is perfect. It was the best decision we made to choose asakasa over shibuya. It’s 5min walk away from the Tokyo metro station (G and Z line). The place is surrounded of affordable (local price) restaurants. Also, there is a nearby park from the hotel. We also loved the open bar and open drinks at the lobby as well as the cheap laundry machines. Not to forget the Onsen. 🥰
